My week: Nana and Grandpa's Birthday

This week it has been an busy week for me. It was my nana's birthday and that day my cousin and aunty moved in. It was the busiest day! I had to go on different car rides, run to the shops and grab food for the party.

Tuesday was a normal day. I had school, T.V. time and home learning - lucky I had a very good rest before the next day.

The Next Day ...

Wednesday was my grandpa's birthday. He really didn't want to do anything but my family and I still celebrated it anyway. There were MORE car rides to make - it was boring for me on some parts of all this travelling.

Thursday and Friday were normal days. More home learning and t.v time, as well as playing with my cousins.

This week was tiring for me and exciting at the same time.

I was excited that we were celebrating my nana and grandpa's birthdays.

The tiring part was having to sit in the car, waiting for mum to come back from the shops.

"Le Birthday Menu"
Mains: Raw fish, prawns, KFC, McDonalds, cooked bananas, Cassava

Desert: Ice cream, trifle

Drinks: Fanta and otai

What is otai? Otai is a Tongan traditional drink. It has watermelon and any other fruit you like. Otai has coconut, milk, sugar, and cold water. You can even put crackers in if you would like!

  1. Sounds like you had a exciting, tiring and fun week, Pita. I hope you get to have a break over the weekend.
I like that you were able to go back and add more detail to your writing, especially about the menu and emotions linked to all the driving around and waiting.
Happy big birthday to your nana and grandpa.

  5. Kia Ora Pita,
I really like how you have put a lot of detail into this post and even told us what The drink Otai has in it.
Maybe next time you could add some more photos on what you did during that week.
This reminded me of last year when Christchurch was in level 4 lock-down and we couldn't do much it was very boring.

  6. Sorry I have not been commenting back but here are some answers to your questions.

To Ritchie:That's really good you now know what otai is, I'm sorry I did not put up any pictures for you or other people to see because I don't really take pictures before I eat and maybe next time I will.

And for James: You said why did I post that week?-well, Just because I was busy that week that didn't stop me from still going online class and still posting what I did for that week.

I hope I answered your answers and have a great day.

    Kind regards
    Pita
